Literatur / Songs about CF

Literatur

I would like to list some works about CF here. Of course the list is much longer, too long to mention all of them here. I have read the listed works myself. In addition, I have not asked any of the authors for permission. Due to the common interest to improve the CF community, I assume that this is ok for everyone. Otherwise write to me. At the bottom of the page you can find some more songs.

Verschieben wir es auf morgen

Miriam Maertens

She has never felt sick, never wanted to be someone who first thinks of the broken lung. That's why the actress Miriam Maertens decided to live as if she were healthy. She wants to be like all children, not miss a thing, participate everywhere, even go on a school trip. She does not understand her mother's conspicuous concern. She feels physically weak, but never ill. And she can assert herself because her brother comes with her, pats her back and inhales with her. When she was sixteen, she dropped out of school because she wanted to go to the theatre - like her father and her two older brothers. Only a few know that Miriam Maertens inhales before every performance and in the breaks in order not to be breathless on stage. In her early thirties she becomes pregnant against the advice of the doctors. Only when she can barely breathe is she ready to be put on the list for a donor organ. It takes a lot of strength and even more courage to go her own way so unswervingly - but life is always worth it.

Das Leben passiert für dich

Denise Yahrling

A young woman on her journey to herself: Denise is suffering from the chronic disease cystic fibrosis, which does not get her down. On the contrary, she lives her life to the full. In her early twenties she discovered her passion for travelling, shouldered her backpack and set off alone to discover the world. Many more trips of this kind will follow and these journeys, the people she meets during them and the things she sees will change Denise forever. With a poetic voice, between lightness and serious tones, Denise takes us through the ups and downs of her life and shows that her illness is hard, but has also made her strong and courageous. Because everything in life has a meaning - we just have to find it and accept it. Denise tells us how she managed it herself in "Life Happens for You".

Weil jeder Atemzug zählt

Barbara und Markus Hänni

Markus Hänni has cystic fibrosis. He is 37 years old. The average life expectancy for people with this hereditary disease is 40 years. Nevertheless, Barbara and Markus Hänni decided to get married and start a family. What challenges does a family life pose with the possible death of a husband and father? And how do you manage to enjoy happiness in all its finiteness? By living as if there were no tomorrow. And trusting that God always has all the way in view ... A book about love, life and the power of hope. Voices on the product "You don't necessarily need a disease to realize how valuable a good relationship is. We should make the most of our time together at all levels." Barbara Hänni

Songs

At this point I have to mention due to stupid legislation that I don't own any rights to the above songs and books, I don't market them either, but want to show the CF community a little more. Furthermore blah blah, all rights are with the owners of the respective titles and so on.
